Try this and you’ll make friends a lot quicker

E. E. Cummings noted, “To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”

In a society pounding out our individuality, how does one muster the courage to be themselves? Is embracing our uniqueness everything its cracked up to be?

Dr. Suess said, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

When we saw this guy in the video above, he was definitely embracing his “Inner-You”. We caught him strolling down the sidewalk, like he was the leading man staring of his own movie. “Excuse me sir,” we had to know, “What ‘three things’ have you learned being unique?”

PS- “Three Things” are are quick video interviews with everyday people sharing extraordinary insights. We approach people at the beach, in line for coffee, at rest-stops, festivals, businesses, pretty much everywhere and ask them to share a little bit of their journey with us. The point of these conversations is to remind us: everyone has a story, wisdom can come from anyone, life is more enjoyable when shared.
